Surveys are a critical part of the conservation program, the data collected is an essential part of the decision making process for prioritizing conservation actions. Surveys are often in rural habitat with a significant level of interaction with local communities. Local community awareness and involvement is key to expanding the strength and effectiveness of the conservation program.
